Quick start guide
Tune your instrument in five simple steps:
- Press “Enable microphone” and allow browser access.
- Select your instrument and its tuning.
- Pluck one open string and let it ring.
- Watch the needle: left means tighten the string; right means loosen it.
- Repeat until the indicator reaches the green zone.
Frequently asked questions
Is this tuner free?
Yes. All presets and chromatic tuning are free with no account required.
Why can’t it hear my string?
Allow microphone access on HTTPS, pluck one string at a time, and reduce background noise.
Can I tune 7-, 8-, or 12-string guitars?
Yes. Choose the instrument and tuning. For 12-string guitars, tune both strings of each pair separately.
What is chromatic mode?
It shows the closest musical note regardless of the selected tuning, useful for many pitched instruments.
Do I need to download an app?
No. The tuner runs in your phone, tablet or computer browser.
What does the green zone mean?
The note is very close to the correct pitch. Pluck one string at a time for a stable reading.
